I had to pay 5700Yen extra because I forgot to do the "Shinkoku" procedure. This procedure basically tells the government that I am not earning money (scholarships cannot be taxed). Since I forgot to do the procedure I had to pay that extra money for the first month. It takes around 50000Yen per year to have the state insurance.
